No, I'm not leaving my favourite Xiangju to sing Liyuan opera, but as a fan of the latter, I've always wanted to learn how to sing and perform in that genre, and apply whatever I have learn into what I'm doing now. Afterall, it doesn't quite hurt to learn more right?
So here I am, learning how to sing an aria of Chen San from "The Lantern Festival" from "Chen San and Wuniang". Somehow I just find my rendition very odd-sounding, not too sure if it's my singing or that the music, which was made using a MOD tracker, sounded too unauthentic.

Wow~ Not bad not bad.. Really sounds like it leh.. But that music is abit distracting and loud so I couldn't hear the singing part clearly...
But it was a nice effort! Sing more leh~ I check I got the 'liu san' music or not.. maybe u can try singing that.
Ya, actually I did the music first, then record my voice and paste it into a seperate track, but then I realised that my vocals track is already at max before it started to have all the "clicking" sound, so I try to tune down the sound for the other tracks, but then I guess it's not easy to get the correct balance.. heh... I'm still doing the music for the rest of that scene, but I realised the songs for Wuniang and gang not that easy to sing!
oh.. maybe u can try to authentic method of ktv singing.. just record the whole thing into one track?
U mean u made the music ah? How u make the music? That's incredible lor.
Haha... then how you think I got the music from? Heh... Well, I'l try what you've said, but I try not to make my voice too "loud", because I think my recorded voice don't quite sound like my own voice, very odd-sounding! Anyway I've finished the music for the whole scene, now stil trying to figure out how to sing Wuniang's parts... haha....
